Valentine’s Day: Ten Ideas For The Lovebirds
63
The most romantic day of the year is among us, and many have plans to travel with that special someone to celebrate Valentine’s Day. If you’re still not quite sure what the best destination would be for you and your sweetheart, or maybe you just want to keep it casual and stay local; here are ten great ideas to spend the time with your significant other.
Dinner in bed-
Valentines dinner of course is the most common way to spend your time together. Making reservations at your favorite restaurant, expecting the perfect time can be a bit disappointing once you see how busy the serving staff will be. The prices will more than likely be a bit higher than usual, and the menu might be smaller than usual. A more intimate idea would be ordering take-out from your restaurant of choice, and eating your meals in bed. Set the mood, light candles, leave a trail of rose petals, and bon appetite!
Scavenger hunt-
Plan a fun evening searching for sweet clues that will lead to a big prize, Possibly an engagement ring? You can do this around the house, or even outdoors around your town. If you’re someone who is on the creative side try it out.
Romance under the stars-
Whether or not you have the perfect view of the night sky or you have to find one; grab a blanket, a bottle of champagne, a picnic basket with good food, and lay down under the stars together. Talk about life, love, and each other. That will surely be a night to remember.
Go dancing-
If you have natural rhythm and know how to move your feet, then this is a great idea for you. There will be plenty of restaurants or clubs that will have your preference of music (salsa, jazz, ballroom, etc.). My personal favorite during a romantic date is flamenco music! The music itself is phenomenal, not to mention the dancing is incredibly sexy! You’re guaranteed to have an truly intimate evening with the one you love.
Give her a serenade-
If you yourself are blessed with amazing vocal chords, or you prefer to outsource a musician, every lady would appreciate a romantic serenade.
Ice-Skating-
I know you’ve seen those romantic-comedies, the ones that have the cute couples falling in love on the skating rink. The fun you have together holding hands, and being active definitely breeds romance. If you live somewhere warm that doesn’t offer a local skating rink, you could always go swimming together, even skinny dipping. Just be careful to not get caught. That would definitely kill the romantic mood.
Be her personal chef for the evening-
There’s not many things that are sexier than a man who can cook. Even if you’re not a master in the kitchen, your efforts to make her favorite dish will be extremely appreciated.
Bath Time-
Grab the candles, the bath salts or bubbles, even some rose petals. Draw a warm bath for her; help her undress and help her step in. It can even be a bath for two, so join her!
Rent a hotel suite-
Even if the hotel you reserve is just around the corner from home or just a few towns away; the luxury of the night spent there adds to the romance. Although the prices can be pretty steep, do it if you can afford it, and not just because it’s Valentine’s Day.
Re-enact your first date-
When you look back at the time when you were first getting to know your sweetheart on a romantic level, remind her that the charming man who once wooed her is still inside of you. Take her to the place you had your first date, order the same foods, do all the same things that ignited the romance between the two of you.
